| Your hosts at Grande Vista RV Park offer several planned activities as well. Donuts every morning, movie nights, and potluck dinners are offered to guests. There is also a meeting room, group areas, BBQ facilities, and picnic areas, all ideal for gatherings and family activities. |
| The Willcox area affords visitors even more recreational activities including golfing, U-pick farms & orchards, wildlife areas including the Muleshoe Ranch Cooperative Area, and National Forests & Parks featuring migratory birds and local wildlife. |
| Several festivals and events are featured in the fall and winter. The Rex Allen Days is held the first weekend of October, celebrating Rex Allen, who calls Willcox his hometown. A softball tournament, turtle race, rodeo, country music concerts, western dances, and many other activities are part of the celebration. Wings Over Willcox is held the third weekend in January and celebrates the Sandhill Cranes who migrate to Playa and feed there daily. The event includes a tour of the premier bird watching areas, seminars, workshops, and a banquet. Early reservations are recommended, as this event is growing more popular every year. |
